It’s the 100th anniversary of the United Way of Erie County and we invite you to leave your medical mask behind and join us for our Magic Masquerade on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Sawmill Creek Convention Center. This black-tie-optional fundraising and community celebration evening will be a magical affair with dinner, music with DJ Mooshoo, dancing, professional photography, a performance by Magician & Mentalist Jeff Kowalk, as well as the presentation of Erie County’s 2023 Lavender Award to an exceptional Erie County nonprofit organization.

The United Way of Erie County has a new director and almost all-new board of directors and we are focused on ways we can help Erie County for the next 100 years through our four pillars of Education, Income, Health and Safety Net. Help us help Erie County in 2023 and for decades to come.

SPONSORSHIP

We invite you to sponsor the event, help the United Way of Erie County and come enjoy the magic as we unmask the new United Way prepping for the next 100 years.

“When we Live United, we don’t just change lives. We change what’s possible.”

Nonprofit organizations are faced with shrinking resources, limited fundraising opportunities and are being forced to do more with less. The United Way is rebuilding in a changing nonprofit environment, and reaching back out into the community to develop new and enhance existing relationships and partnerships with agencies, organizations, businesses and concerned local individuals. We are working to build a network of connections and partnerships from Castalia to Vermillion, serving as many people as possible in Erie County.

United Way is independently operated and governed. This allows us to best serve the individual and varied needs here in Erie County. We serve and support the following communities: Sandusky, Castalia, Milan, Huron, Vermilion, Berlin Heights, Bellevue, Bay View, and Kelleys Island.

“What does United Way do?” “Who are we?” United Way creates the opportunity for a better life for all by building stronger communities where people work together and live united.  We partner with people like you, and the institutions you are part of such as employers, faith organizations, educators, health providers, community leaders, youth and more.

Education, Financial Stability, and Health are the pillars of our work. Big challenges aren’t solved one nonprofit at a time—it takes many organizations and individuals to serve those who need it the most. Our partner agencies rely on the funds and support we provide them. We have the ability to help change the system so more entities in our very own communities can thrive. When United Way receives corporate sponsorships, donations, pledges, legacy gifts, alongside employers’ participation in our workplace giving program, it helps assure the availability of an entire network of services that no one agency alone can provide. With those contributions Erie County agencies are able to flourish.
